Meet your guide

Seventeen years accountable for public money. Now accountable to you.

I’m Ahmed A. Gadir (Ahmed Abdelgadir) — founder of SynPoint, a team lead accountant with the U.S. General Services Administration, and someone who genuinely believes good financial guidance should be available to more than just large institutions.

My career didn’t start with consulting. It started with a responsibility most people never see up close: making sure public money adds up. For seventeen years I’ve been the person accountable for the numbers at some of the most scrutinized organizations in the country.

I began as an accountant and then a financial analyst for the U.S. Department of the Navy, spent three years as a budget analyst at the U.S. Department of Energy, and moved to the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General — the office whose entire job is to hold others’ books to account. Today I’m a Team Lead Accountant with the U.S. General Services Administration, leading and reviewing the work of other accountants.

That path taught me something I couldn’t have learned in a classroom: how to be trusted with money that isn’t mine, and how to explain complicated financial decisions to people who don’t live in spreadsheets. Along the way I earned an Executive MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School and the Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) credential.

I started SynPoint because the same rigor I bring to federal finance can change the trajectory of a small business, a household, or a single person at a crossroads.

The people I work with tell me they value the same three things: I’m patient, I’m straight with them, and I’m relentless about getting the details right. I’d rather tell you a hard truth early than an easy one too late. And I measure my work not by how impressive the plan looks, but by whether you actually understand it and can act on it.

SynPoint — Synergy Point Consultancy — is where everything that career taught me comes together: financial management, organizational strategy, and honest coaching, brought to the people and organizations who deserve real guidance and a steady hand.

The route so far

A career spent close to the numbers.

Four federal agencies over seventeen years — from the deck-plate detail of accounting to leading it — plus the credentials to back it up.

How I work

Three commitments I don’t bend on.

Principle 01

The truth, early

I’ll tell you the hard thing while there’s still time to do something about it. You’re paying for candor, not comfort.

Principle 02

Plain English

If you don’t understand the plan, it isn’t finished. I translate the numbers until the decision is genuinely yours to make.

Principle 03

In your corner

Federal-grade rigor, applied to your situation with patience and follow-through. I stay accountable long after the plan is written.
